RECIPES - Garlic Mashed SLV Potatoes

1 1/2 lbs. red potatoes, quartered
2 cloves garlic (more as many as you want to your taste)
3/4 Cup sour cream
1/4 Cup Milk
1/2 Cup Butter or margarine
2 Tbsp. chopped, fresh parsley
1 Tbsp. chopped, fresh chives
3/4 Tsp. pepper
1/4 Tsp. Mustard powder
Additional butter or margine to taste.

Preparation

  1. In a cooking pot combine potatoes and garlic with enough water to cover.
  2. Over high heat bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat to medium
  4. Cook until poatoes are tender, about 1/2 hr.
  5. Drain and return to pot.
  6. Mash potatoes and garlic with sour cream, milk, butter, parsley, chives, salt, pepper and mustard.
  7. Serve topped with additional butter, paprika, or more parsley.
